New View Stables is owned and operated by professional rider and trainer, Ashleigh Charity, and her partner, Cory Walker. New View originated in Victoria, British Columbia, where Ashleigh grew up, where she developed her love for horses at an early age. Throughout her childhood and teen years, Ashleigh developed a strong foundation in horsemanship and focused her competitive efforts on both eventing and show jumping. In 2007, Ashleigh made the decision to focus exclusively on show jumping and build a business that would allow her to pursue her passion.
Ashleigh quickly built a clientele working out of local farms, and incorporated horse training and sales to her thriving business. Recognizing her natural ability to teach while developing confidence in riders of all ages and experience levels, Ashleigh founded New View Stables in Victoria in 2008, a full-service boarding, training and sales facility. Ashleigh and her students were competitive on both the Vancouver Island and mainland show circuits. During this time, Ashleigh and New View Stables earned a reputation for developing horses and riders to achieve their highest potential in a safe and positive environment. In 2011, to meet the demands of her growing business, Ashleigh moved New View Stables to a larger facility, where she managed and trained a stable of over 40 horses and riders, as well as a school string.
In 2013, Ashleigh relocated New View Stables from Victoria to Cochrane, Alberta, where the business has seen continued growth and success.
Ashleigh has competed at the Grand Prix FEI level with her horse Air Ride, and continues to bring along hers and clients’ prospects through all levels of competition. Ashleigh believes in continuous learning will continue to attend training sessions and clinics with local and world-renowned trainers.
Through hard work and dedication, Ashleigh has developed her own style of coaching and training, and strives to create confident, versatile riders and horses. New View Stables has become a reputable, full-service, hunter-jumper facility where Ashleigh and her team are excited to share their passion for horses.
